The Operational Force Behind DaysLikeThis.Life.

I’m Vikki, co-founder of DaysLikeThis.Life and the person responsible for turning many of our ideas into reality.

Alongside Brett, I help shape the brand’s direction, plan our adventures, manage the website and keep the countless moving parts behind DaysLikeThis.Life working together. What audiences see may feel spontaneous, but building a family media brand that has reached more than 20 million views in a peak month requires organisation, judgement and an enormous amount of work behind the scenes.

Before DaysLikeThis.Life, I built my career in high-responsibility leadership roles with NatWest, the Royal Bank of Scotland and within government. That experience taught me how to lead, communicate, stay calm under pressure and turn complicated ideas into practical plans.

Brett and I have always worked as genuine partners. We bring different strengths to what we build: Brett is often the person generating the big creative idea, while I help develop it, challenge it and make it happen. Together, we have built DaysLikeThis.Life into a nationally recognised family media brand spanning digital content, books, podcasts, travel and original storytelling.

​

Family remains at the centre of everything for me. Being mum to George and William matters more than any job title, and the warmth and personality of DaysLikeThis.Life come from the life we genuinely share together.

At home, I have somehow also acquired the roles of travel agent, chef, organiser and chief motivator. I love creating the days and experiences that become the memories - and often the stories - we share with our audience.

I’m also an extreme day-tripper. Give me an early flight, a full itinerary and the possibility of being home before the next morning and I’m happy. Venice, Paris, Barcelona, Copenhagen and Milan are just some of the cities I’ve managed to fit into a single day with my best friend. It is exhausting, slightly ridiculous and completely my idea of fun.

Whether I’m planning a family adventure, developing the website or helping decide where the brand goes next, I’m happiest when I’m turning an idea into something real.

That is my role within DaysLikeThis.Life: co-founder, organiser, strategist, mum, adventurer - and the person making sure the next great idea actually happens.
